Very late at night, I had to go hunting for another room in that town and luckily was able to find lodging in the Holiday Inn Express down the street. The desk clerk stated that the hotel had ”overbooked rooms” and that there was no room available for me, my wife, and my two small children all of whom were dead tired and needing a good night's sleep. Upon arrival, I was told that there was no room and that our reservation was not ”actually guaranteed”. On 12/25/22, we drove fourteen hours to get to this hotel having made a reservation earlier in the day and being provided an email stating that we had ”A Guaranteed Reservation”.
